CareerXroads® Colloquium -

Diversity & Military Recruiting

Date: May 8-9
*NEW Location*: hosted by Lockheed Martin in Bethesda, MD (just outside Washington D.C.)

Discussion Topics

Meeting activities will focus on the issues and challenges of diversity and military recruiting. Discussion topics voted on by members are:

  • Strategies, Tactics and Techniques: Show and Tell. Each attendee to bring a mini-case [1,2 slides] on an initiative during the past year to increase their military/diversity staffing efforts.
  • Military Recruiting, Recruiting Challenges: Undervalued applicant pools? Resource Riches: Local, Regional, National, & International. Where do you go? Who do you partner with? Bring your list.
  • Diversity Conferences and Publications: True ROI or 'Brand and Pray'?
  • Sourcing: Referrals, Dedicated Recruiters. Which Sources of Hire work best for what?
  • Social Media & Diversity: Are their Niche Recruiting strategies or apps?
  • Recruiting the Disabled: Can you find them or how do they find you (attendees to bring their programs to share experiences)?
  • Cool Tools, Tricks and Technologies: What works? What does not?

As is our practice at CareerXroads Colloquium events we ask all attendees to bring “what keeps them up at night” in their recruiting organizations so we can help each other solve those issues. After all, it's the caliber of our group that makes each session unique and provides that Aha! moment you'll take back to your office.
